Kwä̀dąy Dän K’enji

Located on the Champagne Access Road an hour west of Whitehorse, our camp has preserved heritage since 1995. Through recreations of traditional Southern Tutchone culture, structures, and tools, we bring history to life.

We are a trusted destination for Yukon schools, offering custom day-trips and overnight cultural stays for students of all ages. We also partner with tour companies, coach buses, and road-trippers driving the Alaska Highway who pull off the Champagne bypass seeking an authentic Indigenous experience.

Most importantly, we are a resource for our own First Nation community. The camp provides a vital space to reconnect with the land, honour traditions, and instill deep pride in Indigenous youth. Whether you are a local student or a global traveler, we invite you to sit by our fire and experience a culture to be celebrated and shared with the world.

Champagne Pack Train

It all started with a transformative decision. Years ago, Neil and Tara Cosco offered a five-day Introduction to Packing Clinic—the very same program Champagne Pack Trains offers today. Kyra joined the clinic to rekindle her passion for mountain horses, excelled, and was hired as a wrangler for the Cosco’s outfitting business that season.

When the Cosco’s later sold their business, Kyra gained further industry experience before making the bold choice to quit her day job and fully commit to her passion. Not long after, Champagne Pack Trains was born.

In a beautiful, full-circle moment, Neil and Tara now work for Kyra, supporting the dream that began with that first clinic. The story of Champagne Pack Trains celebrates how one small step can completely change a life’s trajectory, inspiring everyone who joins the journey.
