DISCOVER THE YUKON
Beyond the books. Beyond the museums. Experience the culture.
The land doesn't just hold history, it tells it.
Step away from the highway and walk the paths of Klukshu with us. In this immersive half-day cultural journey, we invite you into a living, seasonal fish camp that has sustained our people for generations. Rather than looking at artifacts behind glass or reading a billboard, you will experience a village that contributes to a vibrant culture that is actively lived today.
Guided step-by-step by local hands, you will trace the waters where the salmon run, learn the brilliant engineering of our traditional fish traps, and connect deeply with the land. At the river's edge, we will share a traditional water ceremony to honour the life-giving river, followed by warm, fire-top bannock and tea around the fire.

The land as our pharmacy.
Step onto the quiet trails of the southwest Yukon for a gentle, restorative journey into the world of traditional Indigenous plant medicine. To the untrained eye, the wilderness is beautiful scenery—but to our people, it is a living pharmacy that has healed, protected, and sustained us for generations.
On this slow-paced, grounding walk, we will introduce you to the local plant life and share the sacred botanical knowledge passed down through our family from our Matriarch, Marge Jackson. You’ll learn how to identify, respect, and traditionally harvest various plants, bark, berries, and medicines used for remedies, wellness, and daily health. It is a peaceful, eye-opening experience that invites you to see the forest not just as a place to hike, but as a source of life and healing.
After our walk together, you will have the opportunity to create your very own traditional medicine to take home with you – this will be a spruce pitch salve which is a traditional, plant-based healing balm made by infusing traditionally harvested spruce tree resin (pitch) into carrier oils and mixing it with other ingredients to create a salve. It is highly regarded in the Yukon for its natural antimicrobial, antiseptic, and anti-inflammatory properties
Duration: 4 Hours (Daytime)
Activity Level: Easy, slow-paced walking on flat dirt trails.
Price: $200 CAD per person
